"Who's down with OTPF? Yea you know me!"
So, in today's lecture we are supposed to be giving the definition of the OTPF, which is the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework. The OTPF is a document that basically has a lot of different constructs that help OT personnel understand the different activities in occupational therapy and describes the practice of occupational therapy. This document is very important to us due to the fact that it allows us to know the domain and process that occupational therapist have.It also goes into depth about the values that the profession has held since its founding in 1917. In laymen terms, the OTPF describes the concepts that make occupational therapy and builds an understanding for the vision of the profession.
