Staying true to the ro(OT)...

                   Hey everyone!

So, this blog is basically about how occupations have remained the same over time. One occupation that I particularly find to be my favorite is dressing. To me, someone's appearance is their first impression. It helps people know how to address someone and even helps them get to know the person without verbal communication. Getting dressed gives a person a sense of identity and independence. Growing up, my favorite thing about school was being able to wear whatever I wanted. I could not wait to pick out my clothes for the next day! It gave me a sense of pride to know that I had my own "swagg" or way of dressing. This ADL is important for clients all across the spectrum. It gives them all the ability to be independent and to be able to do something on their own. This occupation has remained true over time, due to the fact that everyone has to know how to dress themselves for their everyday occupations.
